What are you doing to handle all the anxiety and everything else right now?
I explore “How do we hold all this?” In 8 pictures.
8 pictures:
1. We all need activities that make us feel more whole and calm right now.
2. I’m very fortunate that Lauren’s thing is amazing creative cooking and cocktails (you can follow Lauren Girardin on Facebook).
3. My thing is making art. I started this project by #scribbling all my anxiety and stress onto an 11" x 14" piece of Bristol paper with a variety of markers, pencils, and ballpoint pen,
4. Then I drew abstract shapes on top of the scribbles, maybe to symbolically contain and constrain all that feeling, and cut those shapes out,
5. One piece I attached to the cardboard with from the back of the sketchbook with packing tape and added more tape and drawing,
6. This piece I glued to the cover of the sketchbook adding paint,
7, 8. And the other two went onto these 9" x 12” canvases with acrylic paint.
“How do we hold all this?”
