”We’re not done listening”

marker and crayon on paper, 7″ x 10″, July 20, 2016

Two educators from SFMOMA, Julie Charles, Deborah and Kenneth Novack Associate Curator, School Initiatives, and Tomoko Kanamitsu, Program Associate, Higher and Continuing Education, gave a talk at the Arts Education Brown Bag Meeting at the San Francisco Public Library.

One of SFMOMA’s initiatives is to work with teachers to create curriculum around their collections. Julie Charles echoed something I’ve heard from museum educators across the country - one of the keys to success is to treat the classroom teachers you work with as creative professionals.
