To my Mission High School students
Dear Ms. Freedman’s classes,
Some substitute teacher with a weird beard came into your room and made you do all sorts of brainstorming and challenged you to make some art with very few instructions. You stepped up and made a fantastic diversity of images.
You inspired me to play around with Photoshop, too.
I gave you grades, now it’s your turn. How was your experience during #BermanWeekatMissionHS? Did I make sense? How could I do it better next time?
Some other things:
You all did a good job of describing your process. Take a look at this Flickr group. These students in a digital imaging class in Fremont are posting images and talking about their process. Check them out, steal their ideas.
Alynn-Mags is an amazing local mural team who have made some massive paintings around town. How do they do it? The use Photoshop - take a look at their process in this video on Amanda Lynn’s blog.
And there’s this story about school loop - What could you share with your parents to give them a more complete picture of your education?
Keep making art,
- Todd Berman
