Sketches of Hearts in SF Live
I was honored to paint a giant heart for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation. The foundation held a live online event to launch the auction of the hearts and to generate donations for the important work they do.
Since the General Hospital is a government entity, a separate non-profit foundation is needed to accept donations. Of course, a more sensible system would be to have universal single-payer healthcare that does not rely on corporate charity and the generosity of billionaires to provide essential services. Until then, this foundation is supporting innovative programs that keep us all healthier.
I attended this event from home and sketched what I saw, as is my way. Here are drawings I created in real time during the February 10 event.
