Many fantastic artists in the bay are received this email from the De Young museum about our submission to their “open” exhibit. We commiserated in comments on each others’ social media posts and then Todd Hanson, Bianca Levan, and Maria Naula rallied the community to create a pop-up show for those of us who didn’t make the cut. 8/29 - 9/1: 3-7 & by appt
9/2: 12-6.
Closing reception on September 2, 4-6pm.
The Salon de Refusés is a marvelous one week pop-up exhibit at Four Chicken Gallery on Cortland Street in Bernal Heights. My submission is Heart of the Mission, a painting that began as a collaborative piece incorporating drawings collected at City Hall. Read all about it here.
