Renee DeCarlo of the Drawing Room and Courtney Norris of Curated State collaborated to quickly put together a juried art show called Future Tense: What Has (Not) Happened (Yet).
I’m proud to have my painting, Arts Equity District, included in this optimistic exhibit.

For many of us, this year has had an abundance of tragedy and loss. Most recently, the sudden passing of the beautiful and vibrant Ariel Gold has devastated our artist community. She touched so many of our lives through art and through motherhood that the ripple has been great. Ariel was full of life and love and passionate about art, exploring and sharing her process wholeheartedly. Her girls were always by her side or on her hip, and always a part of her process . Ariel was prolific and driven as an artist and business woman and never let a or challenge hold her back. We are so honored to be touched by her spark and will forever be inspired by her.
In honor of Dia de lost Muertos, and to celebrate and honor the friends and family we've lost this past year, we are building an alter in the gallery - and invite and encourage you and your loved ones to contribute an homage to celebrate and honor the lives of the many who are no longer with us.
As always, thank you for reading, participating and sharing. It is in this time that we need you - help support us by spreading the word, sharing via word of mouth and social media and for visiting our events. Thank you!
Please continue to stay safely in touch, we look forward to seeing you or hearing from you.
With love and gratitude,
Renée & Nick
