‘Grace and Compassion’ painting in Mission Local

I’ve continued my series of occasional experiments in art and journalism with another piece published in Mission Local. This time the article is a tour through my new painting, “Grace and Compassion,” which I created by combining sketchnotes from a year of meetings with the San Francisco Unified School District and partnering organizations. I attended these meetings in my role as director of the Where Art Lives program to learn how to better coordinate arts education services for students.
