Coalition on Homelessness ArtAuction22: Transforming Art into Action

Bid online or buy tickets for the party at SOMArts Cultural Center here.

I’m proud to have my painting included in the 2022 Coalition on Homelessness art auction. I’m glad for opportunity to do this little bit to support this non-profit that organizes unhoused people and frontline service providers to create permanent solutions to this problem and to protect the human rights of those forced to live on the streets.

Follow the Coalition on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep their perspective present in your life.

Check out the entire gallery, you may find some great deals and you’ll know your supporting a great cause.

Online bidding will begin on Thursday, September 1 at 12:00 PM and end on Sept. 8 at 9:00 PM.

Portrait of Nufrank

acrylic on canvas, 12” x 9”, 2022

This painting is inspired by a photograph shared online by artist Elisabeth Nicula. Nufrank, a wild scrub jay, comes to Nicula's apartment in the morning to receive treats from the artist. There is something beautiful about this simple act of caring for a neighbor and I am charmed by range of expression exhibited by this bird.
